Thanks Ernie! Also, some background of this tournament’s conditions because I’m aware there’s going to be questions. [spoiler:2rivgtbx]On the first day of the tournament (as it’s taped in two to three days), it rained out of their expectations, and it rained so hard they had to cancel the first day and have everyone run Stage 1 on the second day. This would play a factor in how the tournament went, in terms of both results and the obstacles.
Stage 2 was supposed to have the Rolling Log (ローリングログ) as the first obstacle. It’s a classic obstacle that’s been there since the early days of Sasuke, and had returned for the first time in almost 10 years, this time in Stage 2 instead of Stage 1, where it normally was. However, it rained before they started, and because of this, they were unable to clean the tracks, which caused both safety issues and fairness issues. Because of these problems, competitors started on the second obstacle, the Upwards Salmon Ladder (サーモンラダー上り).
Stage 3, the Cliffhanger was updated again as the “Cliffhanger Dimension” (クリフハンガーディメンション). This one had three ledges, like the previous Ultra Crazy Cliffhanger, except the second ledge moved up and down 90cm and the third ledge moved backwards and forwards 90cm. However, due to the rain of the day before and the humidity, the motors malfunctioned, causing them to be turned off for this tournament.[/spoiler:2rivgtbx]
