Veoh preview?

I don’t know why but i can only watch the preview on Veoh for some reason. Why is that and what can i do to fix it?

download the veoh player then you can watch the full movies

Is there some kind of payment or something like that?

no, it’s free…

on the other hand, if your unlucky like me… your browser won’t open the program as it should and the only option you get is downloading. not including full video length watch.

It worked :D

Thanks alot :)

actually, no. but i did try a different operating system (xp and w7)…
i just can’t take my self to use other browsers, other than firefox.
and i don’t know what im supposed to do… it just says this:
“[color=orange:ox5j5a9p]oops! veoh web player failed to open[/color:ox5j5a9p]
please manually open veoh web player from your applications directory.”
and the “test player is working” option is working. but when it directs me to this [url:ox5j5a9p]http://www.veoh.com/webplayer/test[/url:ox5j5a9p] the video doesn’t show and says “connection to localhost failed.
send this error to support.”

That sucks, its working fine whit my FF. Had some troubles whit IE but thats to expected when using broken stuff. :)
Guess u have tried reinstalling FF also since u have tryed it on 2 dif OS.

does veoh even work anymore… im just really confised… is it my computer, sofware… all gaki clips never load

I tested this for example
[url:yf42a812]http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/category/comedy/watch/v19476811yqxSEjYb#[/url:yf42a812]
and it still works.

yeah it works, and i got my problem solved too 8o
good thing veoh support isn’t like most…

I could only watch Veoh previews, and since I downloaded their web player, I can’t see anything from Veoh. Does anyone know what is happening?

this is an email to me by steven foxover (veoh support?) when i asked about the problem.

[quote:3d2qw5x7]Hi,

If you are watching videos from embedded links on other web sites you may need to click on the flash video to load the page on veoh.com and watch the full video.

Please try restarting your web browser then make sure you are running the latest version of Veoh Player. Right click on the Veoh icon in the task tray and select about. Windows version is 1.1.7.1175 and Mac is 1.1.7.4033.

If you have an older version please download the installer from the links below.

Windows Installer
[url:3d2qw5x7]http://ll-appserver.veoh.com/static/downloads/client/VeohWebPlayerSetup_eng.exe[/url:3d2qw5x7]

Mac Installer
[url:3d2qw5x7]http://www.veoh.com/static/downloads/client/VeohWebPlayer_117_4033.dmg[/url:3d2qw5x7]

Please test in Internet Explorer or Firefox if you are using another browser.

Are you running the NoScript addon for Firefox? If so please read their FAQ [url:3d2qw5x7]http://noscript.net/faq#qa8_8[/url:3d2qw5x7]

If you are running the BetterPrivacy addon in Firefox you will need to disable it or manually restart the Veoh Web Player in the task tray by selecting “Exit” and then run Veoh from your program files shortcut. (Mac users would load it from /Applications). Veoh stores a flash cookie that tells our web site you have installed the Veoh Web Player. Some addons will delete these cookies and so the Veoh web site will prompt you to install again.

Veoh Web Player allows you to test your Internet connection to ensure Veoh is installed correctly and able to access the Veoh.com web site. Just right click on the Veoh task tray icon and select “Test Player is working”.

If the Veoh Player is able to connect to the veoh.com server you will see this message.

The next test will load your default browser and attempt to connect to the Veoh Player locally. If the browser can connect you will see the page below. If it cannot connect you will need to check that your Firewall is not blocking incoming connections to the Veoh Player. If you have more than one network adapter check that they are all configured correctly.

Click the link to test flash is able to connect to the Veoh player and play a video successfully. If it’s working you will see the screen below. If it will not play video then you need to ensure you have Adobe Flash player 8 or better installed in your default browser and also the Firefox or Safari Flash plug-in 8 or better. The Veoh Player uses the flash plug-in for Firefox not Internet Explorer.

If this screen is not working please check you have the flash plug-in for Firefox and Safari browsers installed. The Web Player uses this, not the ActiveX version installed in Microsoft Internet Explorer. [url:3d2qw5x7]http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe[/url:3d2qw5x7]

In both flash and your web browsers make sure you have cookies enabled. In flash make sure you have not set storage space to zero, which disables cookies. Also make sure you have not disabled scripts in your browser. Eg some users reported problems with Firefox add-ons like noscript and had to configure it to allow the Veoh Web Player to work.

If you still have problems could you right click on the flash video window as below and select “Copy Debug Info”. Then just paste that into an email and we will try and diagnose your problem.

Regards
Veoh Team
