A cloud with public downloads

Can’t harm to actually build up one’s Dropbox bonus as it’s a really good tool (even if you don’t use the program but only the web interface). Please note that the referral bonus is capped at 16 GB (giving you 18 GB total for free max), which means that if 32 people used your referral link any further one who uses it will not generate the 500mb extra space for both. Therefore
I think it is a good idea if people sign up by using referrer links from other gnt members too from time to time. Or at least write down how many more can/should use your link (and update it) so that nothing is wasted. You should also remove your link when you reached the max number of referrals/free space.

Well i don’t really care about the space , i just posted the link if maybe people could register because anyway i wont get my 2GB full anyway

I just found about an official action from them (they want to encourage people to test their beta by this) that gives you an additional 5 GB of space. So that’s 7GB as a start for everyone, which makes it even more interesting (and then up to a max of 15 GB if enough referrals are found).

Here’s what you gotta do to get +5GB extra:

1. [url=http://db.tt/i2fX7Ss3:c5c2whgb]Sign up[/url:c5c2whgb], if you haven’t an account already.
2. Install the [url=http://dl-web.dropbox.com/u/17/Dropbox%201.3.15.exe:c5c2whgb]DropBox 1.3.15 Beta Client[/url:c5c2whgb] (this is essential, won’t work with the current release (1.2.51)).
3. Upload up 4.5 GB videos or photos from your video camera by choosing the dropbox import option in the autoplay popup like here:

That’s it, the files will automatically upload then. When finished you’ll receive the 5GB extra space within a few minutes. You can delete the files afterwards again.

However, ALTERNATIVELY you can also cheat a bit to speed up the upload process (or in case you don’t even have 4.5 GB of pictures right now or don’t want to upload private pics) by doing this instead:

3. Have an USB-stick (or an external hard drive) that is [u:c5c2whgb]NTFS formatted[/u:c5c2whgb], create a folder named "DCIM" on it.
4. Download this [url=http://www.antary.de/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/img_1559.rar:c5c2whgb]RAR-archive[/url:c5c2whgb] (22kb in size) and extract it into the DCIM folder (it will extract to a 4.5 GB large picture, so that might take 2-3 minutes)
5. Remove the USB-stick when finished. Wait 2 seconds, then plug it back in.
6. Choosing the dropbox import option in the autoplay popup like in the picture above.
   (after a few minutes you’ll receive the extra space for your dropbox account)
