There are not a lot of detials on this movie yet but here is a summery I found on IMDB
A Japanese man wakes up alone in a brightly illuminated white room with no windows or doors. When he presses a mysteriously phallic protuberance that appears on one wall, a pink toothbrush materializes from nowhere, clattering to the floor and setting in motion a genuinely bizarre chain of events. Soon the imprisoned man is engaged in absurd and hilarious attempts to escape the gleaming room, releasing random objects from the walls, creating a life sized mouse trap game in which a rope, a toilet plunger and an earthenware jug full of sushi might just be the keys to his escape. Meanwhile, in a dusty town, a green masked Mexican wrestler known as Escargot Man prepares for an important match. His family gathers around him, worried about his seeming impassivity before battle.

I’m back from watching [i:yydh6on5]Symbol[/i:yydh6on5] today at Toronto International Film Festival public screening. It’s very weird movie, really. There are mainly 3 moppy-haired Matsumoto’s parts. First part is where Macchan, in a colourful pajama, is trapped in a white room full of baby-pen!s-shaped switches for no reason. When he presses those switches, weird, totally unrelated stuffs drop into the room out of nowhere. This part is really funny. Macchan’s stupid plans trying to escape the room and his reactions when he repeatedly fails are comedic gold.
And the Estragot Man’s story (you know, the one that beat Dynamite Shikoku… eh… no, no, that is just the same name) leads audience to absolutely nowhere, until the second part of Macchan’s quest, which I’m not gonna spoil you guys.
Overall, it’s an enjoyable movie. And if you think he’s just another Beat Takeshi, you are wrong.
