Synopsis:
Each episode features a different lead character who reaches a critical point in life. Anri (Tanaka) is a "time guide", a being with the power to "reset" people’s lives and give them a chance to change for the better.

Tanaka Naoki as Anri:

Awesome… Thanks for the reply… haha… Doctor who… umm… not it in a way. Tanaka plays a time quide… named “Anri”… he has tiny Angel wings but he can’t fly ^^ haha… and when people has something bad happen to them… he gives them 2 chance’s to reset there lives =D interesting right? anyways… I enjoyed this series… I hope others will enjoy my thread too =D

I was excited to see this. After two episodes I’ve decided its FAR to cheesy for me. Not to mention you can tell what will happen at the end right from the start. Neat idea for a show but in my opinion it was done poorly.

oh well… people are free to have there own opinion on things… but I would have to disagree with you on that cuz I love Japanese TV drama… and I only posted this series on here for the Tanaka fan’s =D

Oh im not knocking yer opinion at all. Sorry if i came off rude. I was just saying what I thought of it. I’m a huge Tanaka fan. Ive seen a few of his movies and love him in Gaki no Tsukai. This tv show just isnt for me.

Awesome! (Aside from the obvious Tanaka avatar I have defining me as a huge fan of him,) I saw snippets of this series a while ago and never had the time to actually get into the series. Hopefully I’ll get around to it

Haha… yeah… I noticed from your avatar that your a huge fan of Tanaka and his work =) well… here’s all episodes all on one thread… enjoy!! =D

I watched it a while ago, and it was definitely cheesy (but fun).

The thing about it is, it’s not so much meant to be a big production but rather just a vehicle to show off Yoshimoto Kogyo talents. That’s why the format allows for different characters every week. All the episodes feature Yoshimoto stars. I watched it a while ago but off the top of my head, besides Tanaka: Hosshan is in an episode, Hamada’s wife is in one, Jinnai Tomonori is in one, Fujimoto Miki is in one (not really Yoshimoto but she was dating a Yoshimoto comedian at the time and they’re married now).

So it’s really not meant to be anything special. But it has some funny moments.

I watched Reset a while ago.

I don’t watch much Japanese Drama but I like this series. I like the type of series where each episode is about a different person. It kinda reminds me of the anime Hell Girl (Or Jigoku Shoujo). One of the episodes sorta made me cry because I understood completely what one of the characters went through. To me, stories about the human condition is always interesting and down-to-earth.

Overall I really enjoy watching this series. I find Anri hilarious sometimes. He’s so dorky but funny!

Being a Tanaka fan, I had to watch every episode. :shifty:
I would call it cheesy, and some scenes really could have been done better, but some episodes have a nice twist to them.

Here is a little more about what Tanaka does in “RESET”:
As a time guide, when someone’s life just turned miserable, he appears beside the person (always dressed in a silly costume ) and offers them two choices:
Reset to the point where the situation took a turn for the worst OR
No Reset
If people pick the first option and it still hasn’t gotten any better, “Anri” (Tanaka) comes back to offer another Reset, but this time the person is taken back to when they first chose to reset.

I think it’s pretty interesting…just why are they using a phone and a water pipe with a coin! :pinch: Not everyone’s cup of tea, but it has some good moments and the title theme is very beautiful (River’s Edge by Nichika).
