He appeared in one of the batsu games, working at a gas station, but also, he has sung almost all the giant robot / 5 ranger / sentai openings ever.
Just type his name on youtube and you'll see. From animations to games, he's sung it all. And very often, with a child choir along.

Also, about the sub:

In the middle of the song when it says to fight the depression, it sounds like a double entendre which means both "fight the depression" and "fix the depression caused in the helmet" (in the take you see his helmet got screwed up)
About the locations, sorry I got nothing on it, but it sounds like the narrator and the hero are arguing about the best route to take.
