Most of us here are international fans, which led me to wonder: is there a Japanese equivalent to gaki-no-tsukai.com for fans to discuss the show?

They use BBS mostly, like this:
http://toki.2ch.net/tvsaloon/As you can see, it’s pretty much 4chan layout (infact I imagine 4chan was derived directly from 2ch’s layout). Also with no actual registered users, just anonymous users that can temporarily name themselves for each ‘post’.
Couldn’t find an active GnT forum for you, but there was a discussion on 2ch on GnT which started a few days ago, almost 400 posts now with the last few being made today so it’s still active. There would be a good place to start as any I guess!
