This week features the third edition of Super Famicon gaming with the gang. As always, they choose from a selection of games which ones they want to play and then compete. Who will be the ‘old man’ Famicon master?
Sounds promising.
They could try some multiplayer such as Ice Hockey, Nintendo World Cup, River City Ransom, Bubble Bobble, Jackal, Snake Rattle & Roll… in some kind of tournament format.
(Tetris and Dr Mario have been used several times before, and Matsumoto boasts that he is a master in these two).
Oh wow, they finally brought this series back!!! I’m so glad they didn’t ditch it due to rating figures or something.
I really hope they keep doing it and yeah definitely agree that multiplayer would be fun to see. Certain game genres also would be cool (Tanaka or Heipo with a horror game should be fun).
In Europe, Sega was pretty popular because of price and a lot of games got released here, but apparently not in the US and Japan. It’d be cool to see other consoles someday but that huge room of Nintendo cartridges will keep them busy.
I haven’t even seen it yet, just looked at ErnieYoung’s thumbnail and like Dynasty, I see multiplayer games like Mario Kart and Street Fighter and I’m like, OMG It finally happened! They’re finally playing direct versus games, complete with funny banter I hope, this HAS to be subbed! So I’m timing it while watching and the kind mickstar has offered to translate.

Awesome! Look forward to seeing it done (: Mickstar is very very kind!
Edit: just watched it. Not the best episode I’ve seen but just like the previous 2, its very laid back and casual and the focus is definitely the games while their performance and comical comments are amusing but work as fillers I feel. It’s alright. Like I said earlier wasn’t a fan of it from the start anyway. Look forward to the sub soudou!
Ah, as I’m working through it now it seems they didn’t do 2 player mode for Mario Kart which is a shame. Still at least Street Fighter is 2 player.

People I watch on Twitch get a bit more time with the games so they can make more entertaining comments on the gameplay or plot/characters, but unfortunately they only get a few minutes here, so by the time they’ve grasped the game, it’s over. Still it’s hilarious seeing them compete which inevitably leads to them berating each other or making boastful claims they can’t keep.
