It is a really good episode! It was a good chance for each of them to shine. Hamada fans especially will enjoy the fact he gets to demonstrate his unique art skills

Anyway I’m super glad you and pychtor are translating the French subs. Razuberii is an awesome subber who has done many cool Gaki episodes, it’ll be awesome to have them in English. Keep it up!

I was looking at this in the mega thread, don’t think I’ve actually seen this episode, so sounds like a great one to add to the list! Also been sitting half done for 4 years, so definitely needs the love of completion!

It’s the Famicom Challenge episode! I looked about and didn’t see it done in English. Of course I’ll post it in the work in progress thread if I decide to do this one, in case anyone else was on it already…

Ah awesome. Yeah I don’t think that’s been done in English surprisingly. I really thought both retro gaming episodes would of been subbed by now considering the topic but sadly not. Look forward to your sub.

Well thank you! It seems Kazuma from Tofu Panda fansubs really likes it too - he just wrote to me asking to release these subs on their fan page - I hadn’t actually replied yet, but there’s already a "preview" on their Facebook page of the video with "improved" subs - so I guess he couldn’t wait Anyway, the more people that see it the better!
Well, this is one of many popular Gaki episodes, so that’s why you even got contacted by Tofu Panda Subs.
You could post it on other Gaki fanpages and you could get more people seeing it.
I woudn’t recommend uploading it on YouTube because NTV gets angry and deletes every video that is from NTV, so don’t do it.
That was pretty much my plan to hardsub it and allow anyone to share it so it gets around! So they’ll save me the trouble of doing that I figured most fans stop here whether members or not, that’s why I posted here first of course
As long as the result is more subs for all, I’m happy to work with them! Maybe I can get matched up with a translator that doesn’t want to do all the coloring timing etc - anyway, I’m feeling psyched for my next release!
I think hardsubs are better than those .ass files because you can put the hardsub video on a USB Drive and watch it on a Blu-Ray Player, PS3, other PC, etc.
